Texarkana Texas Police are investigating after apparent human remains were found Friday afternoon near the Walmart Supercenter on New Boston Road.

Texarkana Texas Police are investigating after apparent human remains were found Friday afternoon near the Walmart Supercenter on New Boston Road.

The skeletal remains were discovered along Waggoner Creek by someone walking nearby. That person called the Nash Police, who then contacted Texarkana Police after confirming the remains were inside city limits.

Police say the remains appear to have been there for a long time. They’ll be sent to the medical examiner’s office in Dallas for identification.

No further details have been released.
