A Louisiana man accused of stealing thousands of dollars in tools from a Texarkana Home Depot is also suspected in similar thefts at stores in other Texas cities.
According to court records, 46-year-old Randy Paul Pepper was arrested November 26 after police responded to a suspicious person call. Investigators say surveillance video shows Pepper cutting into locked cages and stealing tools, later paying for only part of the merchandise.
Police say nearly $4,000 in stolen tools was found in his van. Pepper remains in the Bowie County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
