A man wanted in connection with three separate shootings in Ashdown is now in custody.
Police say 27-year-old Kortlan Lewis was arrested Monday in Bowie County, Texas. Investigators recovered two firearms believed to have been used in the August shootings, which happened over a two-week span. Two people were injured.
Lewis faces charges of first-degree battery, terroristic acts, and possession of firearms by certain persons. Authorities identified him through witness statements, video, and other evidence.
Ashdown Police thanked local agencies and the U.S. Marshals for their help in the arrest.
