Investigators say Applegate’s truck hit Sellers’ Ford Ranger head-on early October 2nd, causing it to flip and catch fire with Sellers trapped inside. He died at the scene.
A state trooper reported the smell of alcohol on Applegate and found beer and other alcoholic drinks in his truck. Witnesses also told investigators that Applegate was the driver.
He’s free on a $100,000 bond and is set for arraignment next month.
