Texarkana Arkansas Police are warning residents about a phone scam involving someone impersonating a Miller County deputy. The caller falsely claims the person has a warrant for failure to appear and demands payment to avoid arrest—sometimes through bank deposits or Bitcoin machines.

Police say this is a scam. Real law enforcement will never ask for money or threaten arrest over the phone. If you get a call like this, hang up immediately and report it to TAPD or the Miller County Sheriff’s Office. Don’t share personal or financial information.
