The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is warning residents about a phishing scam targeting Apple users.
Scammers send texts claiming someone is trying to access your Apple account, followed by a call from someone posing as Apple support. Victims may even receive a real Apple email with a case number. Police say criminals start the support ticket themselves, then ask for your security code to steal your account.
Officials remind residents Apple will never ask for passcodes or passwords.
