Arkansas State Police are investigating a trooper-involved shooting that left a Texarkana man dead Monday night. Authorities say 40-year-old Robert Foster, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants, led officers on a chase from Stamps into Nevada County after they attempted a traffic stop around 6 p.m.
His vehicle became disabled on a logging road, leading to a four-hour standoff involving several agencies and the ASP SWAT Team. Investigators say Foster went live on Facebook during part of the incident. The standoff ended when Foster came out of his vehicle and fired at officers, who returned fire and killed him. No officers were injured. The case will be reviewed by the Nevada County Prosecutor.
