Two suspects were arrested early Friday morning after allegedly breaking into a business in the 2200 block of South Lake Drive in Texarkana.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department, officers responded to a burglar alarm around 1:30 a.m. on June 5 and discovered the front glass door had been shattered. Investigators say the suspects entered the business and grabbed the cash register, but abandoned it after realizing there was no money inside.
Officers established a perimeter while K9 Gator tracked a scent from the scene to the nearby Sunset Apartments. During a search of the complex, officers located two men who matched the suspects seen on surveillance footage. One was reportedly wearing the same clothing seen in the video, while the other had glass shards on his hands.
Nineteen-year-old Avontray Cleamons and 17-year-old Roberlynsti McHenry were arrested and charged with Burglary of a Building. Both were booked into the Bi-State Jail, where bond was set at $15,000 each.
