Dierks High School is one of 25 schools nationwide competing for a $1 million stadium renovation through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest.
The Howard County school, in a town of about 1,000 people, is currently in first place in the voting, which runs through October 24th. Supporters can vote once a day by scanning the QR code or visiting the T-Mobile contest website.
School officials say community support has helped with small improvements over the years, but the stadium hasn’t seen major upgrades in decades. The winner will be announced October 30th.
