The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two related shooting incidents that happened early December 26 in the DeKalb area. No injuries were reported.
The first incident occurred around 12:28 a.m. on U.S. Highway 259 South. Deputies say a woman reported being shot at while walking with her boyfriend. She identified the shooter as her ex-boyfriend, who left before deputies arrived.
About three hours later, around 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to a home on Farm to Market Road 2789 after multiple gunshots struck the residence while a man and his daughter were inside.
Investigators believe the second shooting may have been retaliation. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office.
