A Pine Bluff woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly attempting to steal from the same Texarkana store twice in less than a week.
According to the Texarkana, Texas Police Department, 61-year-old Stormy Hampton tried to return a lawn mower at Home Depot on Tuesday for a refund, despite never purchasing the item. When employees refused the return, she allegedly attempted to leave the store with the mower.
Store employees recognized Hampton from a similar incident the previous Thursday and had already alerted police. Officers were waiting in the parking lot and arrested her at the scene.
While in custody at the Bi-State Jail, Hampton was also served with a warrant related to the earlier theft.
She now faces two felony theft charges, with bonds set at $3,000 for each charge.
